Inquisition is definitely a game that requires a lot of collecting to advance certain questlines. There are a number of important items that become available almost immediately in future games, which has the potential to free up valuable questing time and give the Inquisitor and their companions a significant leg up when it comes to armor and weapons while still in Haven. A Golden Nug statue is also accessible while attending the Exalted Council at the Winter Palace during Trespasser, as well as while exploring Darvaarad Fortress in that same DLC. It can first be accessed in the outdoor smithing area at Haven, then later in the Undercroft after discovering Skyhold. Once you launch a brand new game, the statue will appear and become interactable. Approaching the statue and interacting with it will gather all the necessary collection item data so it becomes available with the launch of a new game. However, after completing that first playthrough, launching the game and opening a post-game completion save spot will make the Golden Nug appear in the Undercroft area of Skyhold. The Golden Nug does not appear the first time you play Inquisition because there is nothing to sync to.

With the introduction of the Golden Nug statue in Patch 10, players who already completed at least one Inquisition playthrough could finally stop wasting time on the monotonous search for certain collectables, recipes and schematics. And while that was certainly exciting on the first playthrough, players who enjoy multiple explorations were likely to have little interest in rediscovering or spending their gold on the same schematics they collected the first time around. While traveling across Thedas, the Inquisitor and their party were constantly discovering or purchasing new collectibles, recipes and schematics along the way. BioWare introduced a lot of new features, such as armor crafting, advanced potion creation and collections. Dragon Age: Inquisition was a huge undertaking for gamers, with the average playthrough clocking in around 200 hours.
